David Sergi

 

San Marcos Lawyer David Sergi

David Sergi has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1985. Prior to returning home to San Marcos in 1993, he practiced with a wide variety of firms including the San Francisco law firms of Pilsbury, Madison, and Sutro, and Pettit and Martin. While practicing law in San Francisco, David was involved in financial-institution litigation, as well as international litigation and arbitration. David has appeared before and successfully represented clients in the international area before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and has been involved with several cases before the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague.

David’s criminal practice experience includes serious felonies, as well as misdemeanors. His commercial cases have involved employment cases, real estate disputes, partnership litigation, trademark disputes, and general business disputes. David’s is now focused on three principle areas: commercial litigation, criminal litigation and hospitality law. He has been involved in a myriad of sophisticated commercial cases from the trial-court level through the appeal courts.

In addition to practicing law, David taught law at Mississippi College of Law and was a teaching consultant to the Organization for the Security in South Europe where he advised institutions that are involved with the reform of Macedonian legal reform.
